Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse with pediatric experience to support a 7-year-old girl at home in South Jordan, Utah. The RN will provide personalized, high-quality care, including enteral feedings, seizure monitoring, medications, and mobility assistance.

Shifts include Monday–Friday 3pm–11pm and Saturday–Sunday 7:30am–7:30pm. We offer weekly pay, benefits for eligible staff, and opportunities for advancement within a respected home care provider.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Utah.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications, as required for the position.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable.
• Ability to pass drug test and background check.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Enteral feedings, seizure monitoring and management.
• Medication administration and prescribed treatments.
• Passive range of motion (PROM) exercises.
• Patient transfers and mobility assistance.
• Support with daily care, comfort, and well-being.

Meet Your Future Client

Our client is a 7-year-old girl who is deaf and blind and uses glasses and cochlear implants. She is nonverbal and has developmental abilities similar to those of a toddler. Since she has not previously received nursing care, we are seeking a patient, attentive, and experienced pediatric nurse who can help establish a positive, trusting relationship while supporting her daily needs.

Location: South Jordan, Utah

Available Shifts:

Monday-Friday | 3pm-11pm

Saturday and Sunday | 7:30am-7:30pm

Your Role as an RN:

You will provide individualized nursing care based on the client's Plan of Care, including:

• Enteral feedings
• Seizure monitoring and management
• Medication administration
• Prescribed treatments
• Passive range of motion (PROM) exercises
• Patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Support with daily care, comfort, and overall well-being

Your patience, clinical expertise, and compassionate approach will play an important role in helping this child feel secure and receive quality care at home.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Utah
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications, as required for the position

• Ability to pass a drug test and background check
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
