Job summary

The State of Connecticut, in partnership with UConn Health, seeks a Nurse Consultant to join John Dempsey Hospital's Solnit South Campus in the Quality and Training Department. You will evaluate compliance with state and federal regulations, lead nursing training, and help develop nursing standards of practice to improve care for youth and families.

The successful RN will have licensure, clinical leadership experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of RN experience with supervision/education/administration.
• Valid RN license with strong knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Experience in nursing education, policy development and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide clinical education, orientation, and professional development.
• Conduct ongoing quality assurance activities related to accreditation and compliance.
• Develop and revise educational materials, policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Assess quality and safety of care; support corrective-action education following findings.
• Prepare reports and participate in committees and recruitment.
