Job summary

Spring Branch Community Health Center is seeking a Midlevel Provider for Pediatric care to join our team. You will deliver direct patient care from birth through 18 years, under physician supervision, and ensure timely evaluation and treatment according to protocols.

You will collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers and staff to maintain high-quality primary care. The role requires TX APN licensure with prescriptive authority and a Doctorate or Masters in Nursing, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Texas pediatric APN license (prescriptive authority)
• Doctorate or Master's in Nursing
• 3 years experience as a Pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse
• Certified BLS or BLS equivalent
• Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred but not required
• Proficiency in computer skills and Electronic Health Records

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services for patients from birth to 18 years of age.
• Prescribe medications and make treatment recommendations.
• Maintain medical expertise and deliver quality primary care.
• Examine, diagnose, treat and refer patients as needed.
• Maintain time-bound patient charts and records.
• Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic studies and protocols.
• Review labs/x-ray reports and make appropriate medical decisions.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, other mid-levels and staff to assess client needs.
• Contribute to review and development of patient care policies.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and care plans; facilitate communication.
• Participate in conferences, workshops and clinic meetings.
• Stay current with healthcare trends affecting medical practice.
• Fill in for other providers at other sites as needed.
• Participate in safety programs and emergency response.
• All staff participate in safety programs and emergency response.
