Job summary

Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Hospital in Temple, TX is seeking an RN for Pediatric Medical Surgical Nights. This 48-bed unit cares for patients 0-21 years old with chemotherapy administration opportunities.

Full-time night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a 3x12 schedule offer a collaborative, family-centered environment. Minimum 1–2 years of pediatric nursing experience required; strong assessment, education, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an Accredited Nursing Program.
• RN license required; BLS certification or within 30 days of start.
• Specialized field of nursing preferred/beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and create care plans.
• Educate patients and families; empower learning.
• Delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
• Prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in care planning.
