Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Educator to support the East Valley Medical Surgical Observation Unit. You will partner with bedside staff, nurse leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical skills and promote safe, high-quality pediatric care.

Responsibilities include identifying learning needs, developing education programs, onboarding and competency validation, and evaluating outcomes to improve staff knowledge and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• One year experience in a preceptor or leadership role in the specific specialty area.
• Two years clinical pediatric nursing experience.
• Adult teaching experience is preferred.
• Current State of Arizona RN license is required.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is required.
• National Certification in clinical specialty and/or nursing professional development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with colleagues within the educational department to support the departmental strategic plan and ongoing institutional growth.
• Collaborates with other disciplines and departments as a change agent and participates in the evaluation of outcomes.
• Engages in ongoing organizational endeavors which support the philosophy and values of Phoenix Children's, nursing, model of care and professional development of staff.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates learning opportunities based on evidence using a variety of teaching strategies.
• Seeks and takes advantage of opportunities to enhance own professional growth and development.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
