Job summary

Nemours is seeking a Molecular Pathologist to lead the molecular diagnostics program in Delaware. You will oversee validation and quality, guide NGS-based testing, and collaborate with pathology, clinical teams, and bioinformatics to deliver high-quality pediatric genomic services.

The role emphasizes clinical interpretation, assay development, regulatory compliance, and participation in translational research within CAP/CLIA standards.

Qualifications

• Expertise in NGS technologies and clinical implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of CAP/CLIA requirements for molecular and genomics laboratories.
• Prior experience in a clinical molecular diagnostics laboratory.
• Experience with whole-exome or genome sequencing, rapid turnaround testing, or pediatric rare disease genomics.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation, and quality management of in-house molecular tests including NGS panels.
• Oversee clinical validation, regulatory compliance, and reporting pipelines.
• Collaborate with pathology, clinical, research, and bioinformatics teams to integrate assays into clinical care.
• Mentor staff and promote quality, cost-effective, and compliant operations.
