Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Full-Time Molecular Pathologist to lead molecular diagnostics and genomics within the Nemours Genomics Laboratory. The role focuses on developing, validating, and implementing NGS-based tests, including exome, genome, and targeted panels for pediatric patients, with high-quality interpretation and regulatory oversight.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Molecular Genetic Pathology.
• Experience in clinical molecular diagnostics.
• Experience with NGS-based assays and translational research.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the scientific and clinical lead for molecular pathology and genomics testing within BMAP and the Nemours Genomics Laboratory.
• Direct clinical validation, implementation, and ongoing quality management of NGS-based assays including somatic and germline testing.
• Provide molecular pathology consultation and interpretation in collaboration with pediatric subspecialists and pathology colleagues.
• Ensure CAP/CLIA compliance and institutional regulatory standards.
• Participate in test utilization review and laboratory readiness for inspections and accreditation.
