Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health in Delaware seeks an accomplished Clinical Geneticist to become Division Chief of Medical Genetics, leading a team of physicians, advanced practice providers, a Manager of Genetic Counseling, a team of Genetic Counselors (GC), and Genetic Counselor Assistants (GCA).

The Chief collaborates across the enterprise for research and clinical programs and oversees the Genetic Testing Stewardship Program.

Qualifications

• Board certifications in pediatrics and clinical medical genetics are required.
• Board certification in molecular genetics is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to culturally relevant, evidence-based care models.
• Evidence of scholarly activity and involvement with professional societies.
• Experience mentoring faculty and leading a divisional team.

Responsibilities

• Optimize clinical services within the division.
• Provide fiscal stewardship and operational management.
• Recruit and retain qualified, diverse professionals.
• Enhance scholarly activity, research, and external funding attainment.
• Support clinical training and education for students, interns, residents, and fellows.
