Job summary

Beacon Children's Hospital of Luverne is seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians to join our inpatient care team for 7a–7p full-time shifts. You will support children and teens ages 6 to 17, helping with daily activities, safety checks, and behavior monitoring in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role emphasizes building therapeutic relationships, teaching life skills, and maintaining a safe, healing atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or a related field desired.
• CPR and Handle With Care certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships by providing daily support and supervision to patients.
• Monitor and document behavior, conduct regular safety checks, and ensure a structured, supportive environment.
• Take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and escort patients as needed.
• Help teach life skills and reinforce treatment goals.
• Play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healing atmosphere.
