Job summary

Beacon Children’s Hospital of Luverne is seeking Mental Health Technicians to join our inpatient psychiatry team, caring for children and teens ages 6 to 17. Full-time day shift 7am-7pm available.

You will build therapeutic relationships, monitor behavior, take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and help teach life skills in a structured, healing environment. CPR/Handle With Care required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• CPR and Handle With Care certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships by providing daily support and supervision to patients
• Monitor and document behavior, conduct regular safety checks, and ensure a structured, supportive environment
• Take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and escort patients as needed
• Help teach life skills and reinforce treatment goals
• Play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healing atmosphere
