Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED is required.
• One year experience in a mental health care setting preferred (preferably as a Mental Health Technician or CNA).
• Appropriate education in a mental health related field might be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing a safe and therapeutic milieu by monitoring program rules and assisting in handling patients who exhibit challenging behavior.
• Documents patient departures, transport, and significant occurrences, observed behavior, vital signs, and observations.
• Assists clinicians with patient care tasks and therapists with therapeutic interventions.
• Performs clerical duties related to Health Information Management, Intake, Administrative Assistant, Clinic Manager, and Administrator.
• Performs other duties and projects as required.
• Maintains punctuality, organization, and cost-conscious operations.
• Communicates effectively in English; capable of standing long hours and physical restraint when necessary.
