Job summary

Beacon Children’s Hospital of Luverne is seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians to support children and teens in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Full-time shifts are available on day shift (7a–7p).

You will provide daily patient support, monitor safety, take vitals, and assist with admissions and discharges. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with CNA or college coursework in psychology or related fields preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
• Handle With Care certification required within 30 days of hire
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships by providing daily support and supervision to patients
• Monitor and document behavior, conduct regular safety checks, and ensure a structured, supportive environment
• Take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and escort patients as needed
• Help teach life skills and reinforce treatment goals
• Play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healing atmosphere
