Job summary

Beacon Children’s Hospital of Luverne is seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians to join our inpatient unit for children and teens aged 6 to 17. We have immediate full-time day shifts available from 7a to 7p.

You will build therapeutic relationships, monitor behavior, assist with admissions and discharges, teach life skills, and help maintain a safe, healing environment for our patients.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or a related field
• CPR and Handle With Care certification required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships by providing daily support and supervision to patients
• Monitor and document behavior, conduct regular safety checks, and ensure a structured, supportive environment
• Take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and escort patients as needed
• Help teach life skills and reinforce treatment goals
• Play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healing atmosphere

Education
