Job summary

Beacon Children's Hospital of Luverne is seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians to join our inpatient team caring for children and teens aged 6 to 17. We have immediate full-time openings on day shifts (7a-7p).

You will build therapeutic relationships, monitor behavior and safety, assist with admissions/discharges, and help teach life skills. Education includes a high school diploma or equivalent, with CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or related fields.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
• CPR and Handle With Care certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships by providing daily support and supervision to patients.
• Monitor and document behavior, conduct regular safety checks, and ensure a structured, supportive environment.
• Take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and escort patients as needed.
• Help teach life skills and reinforce treatment goals.
• Play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healing atmosphere.

Education
