Job summary

Beacon Children’s Hospital of Luverne is seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians to support care for children and teens in an inpatient setting. This full-time role offers day shifts (7a–7p) and a collaborative, multidisciplinary team approach focused on compassionate, evidence-based care.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with CNA or college coursework in psychology or related fields.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• CPR and Handle With Care certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships by providing daily support and supervision to patients
• Monitor and document behavior, conduct regular safety checks, and ensure a structured, supportive environment
• Take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and escort patients as needed
• Help teach life skills and reinforce treatment goals
• Play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healing atmosphere
