Job summary

Beacon Children’s Hospital of Luverne in Minnesota is seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) for full-time day shifts (7a–7p). The hospital specializes in inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents ages 6 to 17, with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team approach.

• CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships by providing daily support and supervision to patients.
• Monitor and document behavior, conduct safety checks, and maintain a structured, supportive environment.
• Take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and escort patients as needed.
• Help teach life skills and reinforce treatment goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healing atmosphere.
