Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of a licensed health care professional.

The role requires current CMA or RMA certification within 90 days of hire and adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies. Ideal candidates will have a MA program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES and at least 1 year of pediatric healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or other approved by the Department of Education.
• Certification as CMA or RMA within 90 days of employment; previously licensed by 11/30/2021 extended exemptions may apply.
• One year of experience in a health care or pediatric setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs and medical histories in the electronic health record.
• Perform ECGs, pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic testing.
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer medications under provider direction and ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal.
