Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, or equivalent.
• MA certification CMA or RMA in lieu of graduation is acceptable.
• One year of experience in health care or pediatric settings preferred.
• Current BLS certification required from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vitals, growth, histories in the EHR under licensed supervision.
• Perform ECGs, pulmonary tests, and other diagnostic tasks within Medical Assisting scope.
• Collect lab specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
• Assist with exams, procedures, and wound care as directed by providers.
• Process prescription refills and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Ensure room prep, supply stocking, and infection control per policy.
