PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric urgent care operations, including clinical and administrative tasks, patient check-in, history taking, vital signs, and specimen collection. You will work under physician supervision to assist with primary patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant.
• Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in children.
• Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Strong communications and organizational skills.
• Prior pediatric experience is preferred.
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to learn medical software.
• Experience with medical records is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs and specimen collection.
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in quality control testing in the lab.
• Support patient care within scope of practice.
• Keep exam rooms and reception stocked with supplies.
• Maintain waiting room cleanliness and order.
• Follow safety practices and report changes to management.
• Protect patient confidentiality and information.
• Contribute to service recovery when needed.
• Assist with splints and other procedures as directed.
