Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a per diem Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support Pediatric Primary Care clinics across South Puget Sound, including Covington and nearby locations. Travel to multiple Mary Bridge locations is required.

The MA-C works under licensed practitioners, performing safe clinical tasks and assisting with patient care and coordination. Candidates should hold WA MA-C certification, current BLS, and prefer at least one year in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• WA State MA-C certification required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff.
• Interview patients and obtain vital signs.
• Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments and venipuncture.
• Administer medications in compliance with WA Health regulations and documented competency.
• Relay instructions to patients and families/caregivers.
• Process patient records and facilitate patient referrals.
