Job summary

MultiCare is seeking a per diem Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support Mary Bridge Children’s Pediatric Primary Care Clinics in the south Puget Sound area. Travel between Auburn, Covington, Olympia, Puyallup and Tacoma locations will be required.

Under supervision of licensed practitioners, you will perform clinical and clerical duties, organize patient flow, collect specimens, administer medications, and relay information to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow in collaboration with front office staff.
• Interview patients and obtain vital signs.
• Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Perform specimen collection including venipuncture.
• Administer medications in line with Washington DOH regulations and competency.
• Relay instructions to patients and families/caregivers.
• Send/receive patient medical records and facilitate referrals.
• Prepare forms for patients.
