Job summary

Pediatric Associates Family of Companies in Arizona is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support clinical and administrative tasks under clinician supervision. You will participate in chronic disease management, patient intake, vaccinations, and records documentation.

The role requires strong patient communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with electronic health records, with occasional travel between Gilbert/Shea/Ironwood/Deer Valley and Mesa locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Foreign medical doctors must have a B.S. in General Medicine from a regionally accredited university or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high quality patient experience; welcome patients; ensure a safe, clean environment and available supplies.
• Record intake vitals (height, weight, temperature, BP, pulse, respiration) and notify clinician of abnormalities.
• Interview patients, document chief complaint and medical history, update records (medications, allergies, vaccines, etc.).
• Prepare patient for examination; assist with age-appropriate screenings and procedures under clinician supervision.
• Perform vaccine and medication reconciliation; provide vaccine information statements and education.
• Ensure vaccine cold chain management and report excursions.
• Administer vaccines and medications (IM/ID/SC) with post-observation.
• Handle follow-up tasks: referrals, prescriptions, forms, and patient documentation.
• Perform phlebotomy and lab specimen collection as required.
• Support the care team to meet KPIs and follow best practice standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
