Job summary

Pediatric Associates is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support clinical and administrative tasks across multiple pediatric offices. You will assist clinicians, take vitals, prepare exams, and help manage vaccines and immunizations in a child-friendly environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or MA certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of MA experience; willingness to travel 15-20% between locations; strong communication and EHR skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma / Certification required; or 3+ years MA experience in healthcare.
• Active BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high quality patient experience and ensure a safe environment.
• Take intake vitals (height, weight, temperature, BP, pulse, respiration) and report abnormalities.
• Document medical history, medications, allergies, and immunizations in the chart.
• Assist clinicians with exams, screenings, injections, and basic procedures as supervised.
• Handle vaccine reconciliation and provide vaccine information statements to patients/parents.
• Adhere to vaccine cold chain management and reporting.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and proper processing as needed.
• Support with scheduling, referrals, and chart updates; assist with transitions of care.
