Job summary

Banner Health’s Banner Staffing Services-AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a busy pediatric specialty clinic. You’ll take vital signs, assist clinicians during exams, and help prepare patients for procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include coordinating referrals and scheduling, documenting visits for billing, maintaining a clean exam room, and using EMR systems with strong attention to detail. This registry/per diem role offers flexible scheduling and competitive wages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Requires strong computer skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording information.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, authorizations and scheduling.
• Maintain medical records and support billing documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe exam environment and manage supplies.
