Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use medical software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording symptoms and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, prescriptions and scheduling for clinic and hospital visits.
• Provide clerical support and maintain complete medical records and billing information.
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment and disinfect equipment per policy.
• Order supplies and manage medications, recalls, and equipment as directed.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families and staff.
• Complete onboarding and simulation training as required and work under provider supervision.
