Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care sites, facilitate patient visits, perform routine labs, referrals, and quality outcomes for our patient population. You will actively participate in network quality initiatives and work with a collaborative team.

As an MA, you will prepare exam rooms, obtain vital signs, document care in the EPIC EMR, and ensure efficient provider workflow.

Qualifications

• Graduate or MA certificate from a recognized program, or HS diploma with 1 year MA experience.
• MA certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas, stock supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient visits and procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory tests, referrals, and care quality outcomes.
• Room patients and manage provider caseload flow.
• Obtain vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection.
• Documentation of care using EPIC EMR.
• Perform Point of Care Testing per protocols.
• Process referrals and medication refills.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
