Community Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support an ambulatory health care site by facilitating patient visits and procedures, performing routine labs, and coordinating referrals. You will participate in quality outcomes initiatives and document care using the EPIC EMR system.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with teammates, communicate effectively, and approach problem-solving with a positive attitude. Certification within 6 months of hire is required.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate or certificate from a recognized medical assisting program, or a HS diploma/GED with MA experience in the past three years.
• MA certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas, including cleaning and stocking of supplies, and assist with patient flow.

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. As an MA, you will also get to actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.

• - Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
• - Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire
• - Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies
• - Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload
• - Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection
• - Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system
• - Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols
• - Process referrals and medication refills
• - Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff
