Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is hiring a Medical Assistant for 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week). Schedule: three 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. Starting pay is $21.06 per hour and will be commensurate with experience.

You will assist with quality patient care and perform required administrative tasks. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, taking vitals, rooming patients, and recording data in the EMR under RN or LPN delegation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or five years of equivalent experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communications and professional behavior with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and provide follow-up/reminder calls.
• Assist with clinical tasks including rooming patients, taking vitals, and screenings.
• Provide basic patient care under RN/LPN delegation and document findings in the medical record.
