Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or five years of equivalent experience.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy.
• CPR certified (American Heart Association Heart saver with pediatric content) or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communications and professional behavior.
• Ability to learn and use hospital computer systems and EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and provide follow-up and reminder calls.
• Assist with rooming patients, take vital signs, heights and weights, and screening questions.
• Provide basic patient care and administer medications under RN/LPN delegation.
• Collect data and document findings in the medical record.
• Potentially precept orientation and training of new staff and students.
