Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week position in Columbus, Ohio. The role follows a Monday–Friday day shift from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with days off based on clinic needs.

You will assist with quality patient care and administrative tasks, including scheduling, rooming patients, taking vitals, and basic patient care under RN/LPN delegation. A graduating MA program or five years of equivalent experience is required, with CPR

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or five years of equivalent experience.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association Heart saver with pediatric content) or Health Care Provider course or Red Cross equivalent.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn EMR systems.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare correspondence, documents, reports and other materials of varying complexity and confidentiality.
• Schedule patient appointments and provide follow-up and reminder calls.
• Assist with clinical tasks including rooming patients, taking vitals, heights and weights, and screening questions.
• Provide basic patient care and administer approved medications under RN/LPN delegation.
• Collect and report data to a licensed professional and document findings in the medical record.
• May act as a preceptor for orientation and training of new staff, float staff and students.
