Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to provide quality patient care and perform required administrative tasks. This 0.6 FTE role is 24 hours per week with a Monday–Friday day shift, 8:30am–5:00pm, starting pay $21.06 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program or have five years of equivalent experience, CPR certification, and strong communication and data-entry skills. Pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or five years of equivalent experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and use hospital computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and provide reminders.
• Assist with clinical tasks: rooming patients, vitals, heights and weights, screening questions.
• Administer approved medications under RN/LPN delegation.
• Collect and report data to a licensed professional; document findings in the medical record.
• May precept orientation and training of new staff and students.
