Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a full-time day shift in the Behavioral Health - Children’s Unit. The LVN will assist registered nurses in delivering patient care, perform routine duties, and support a family-centered care approach.

Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited LVN program with current BLS/CPR certification and be capable of handling bilingual patient interactions. Hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of vocational nursing required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• CPI training within 30 days of hire date.
• Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians.
• Prefer hospital experience.

• Assists the registered nurse in providing nursing care to patients in designated departments.
• Performs routine and delegated nursing duties as assigned.
• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values.
• Documents patient information and communicates with healthcare team.
