Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time Day shift in the new Behavioral Hospital. The RN will provide crisis intervention, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with physicians to develop care plans.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, hold a TX RN license, and have BLS certification. CPI training within 30 days is required. Hospital experience is preferred; bilingual sensitivity is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license and valid BLS certification.
• CPI training within 30 days of hire date.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; bilingual/cultural sensitivity beneficial.
• Hospital experience preferred; ability to work in behavioral health unit.

Responsibilities

• Promote mission and values while delivering patient care.
• Deliver nursing care per Nursing Practice Act and ANA standards.
• Administer medications and therapies safely as ordered.
• Admit, discharge, and transfer patients; update care plans.
• Communicate effectively with staff and physicians; provide education.
• Maintain accurate nursing records and ensure unit safety.
