Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse for an onsite 13-week contract in Lubbock, TX. Night shifts are 12 hours, three days per week with floating to Pedi Med/Surg and NICU as needed.

Requirements include PICU experience, 1 year minimum in a similar role, EPIC charting, and BLS/PALS certifications. Expect 1:2 patient ratios and 3 shifts per week with on-call not required.

Qualifications

• PICU experience required
• 1 year experience in relevant ICU role
• Patient ratio experience 1:1-2
• Charting in Epic required
• BLS and PALS certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Float between units: PICU, Pediatric Medicine/Surgery, NICU
• Provide care for ventilated patients
• Manage chest tubes and central lines as needed
• Administer and monitor IV medications and vasopressors
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient safety

Job Description

Night Shift 12 hours/day 3 days/week

1YR/1ST TIMERS OK - PICU RN -
Will position float between units: Yes; units that they would float to would be Pedi Med/Surg and NICU.
Is on-call required? No
Are weekends required? Yes Variable
Are block schedules required? No; We do not require block scheduling. They can work 3 consecutive shifts or split them up. But it will be for 3 12 hour shifts per week.
What are expected ratios? 1:2
Special requirements: PICU experience required
Are 48 hours approved: No
