Job summary

Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health is seeking an Intake Coordinator for an on-site role in Sherman, TX. You will manage new patient referrals, verify benefits, coordinate intake scheduling, and support a smooth start of care for new clients.

The ideal candidate has healthcare administration or referral coordination experience, with strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with families, providers, and staff to keep processes moving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in administrative, healthcare, medical office, patient access, referral coordination, scheduling, or insurance verification preferred.
• Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Handle new patient referrals from hospitals, doctor's offices, case managers, and other referral sources.
• Collect and verify information for new pediatric home health patients.
• Screen inquiry calls and schedule intakes with families or referral sources.
• Verify insurance benefits, including Medicaid and private insurance.
• Coordinate with case managers and clinical teams to assign and complete intakes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established intake protocols.
• Support onboarding by ensuring all paperwork is completed.
• Communicate with families and internal staff to coordinate timely start of care.
