Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse Inpatient to provide comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill patients during the 7p–7a shift with an every-third-weekend rotation. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Required BSN and active Illinois RN license, plus BLS. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, and analytical abilities to deliver evidence-based care and

Qualifications

• BSN required for the role.
• Active Illinois RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS certified; ADN may be acceptable with BSN plan.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, and develops an individualized care plan.
• Directs care and determines utilization of nursing staff.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and ancillary staff; documents care plans.
• Participates in shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions and updates care plans.
• Uses evidence-based practice to guide nursing decisions.
