RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatric Infusion CINJ clinic at Morris Cancer Center in New Brunswick, NJ. This per diem, day-shift role offers an hourly wage in the $49.03-$72.39 range and the chance to work closely with a dedicated team delivering pediatric oncology care.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license, BLS, PALS, and CPHON/APHON certifications, plus 2-5 years in pediatric oncology.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON) certification.
• APHON Biotherapy/Chemotherapy Certification.
• 2–5 years of pediatric oncology experience.
• Pediatric BMT experience and pediatric oncology outpatient experience preferred.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes for early intervention.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Partner with physicians and advanced providers to support timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately about next steps.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and promote effective communication across teams.
• Collaborate in a highly team-oriented environment to improve patient outcomes.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education and career development opportunities.
