Advocate Health’s Oak Lawn unit is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 34102 ACH Enterprise - Nursing Float Pool. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with self-scheduling, day-to-day floating, and a shift pattern of 7p–7a across three 12-hour shifts.

In this position you will participate in patient care, uphold safety, document in EHR, and collaborate with the care team, while maintaining standards of practice, ongoing education, and ANA ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where services are provided.

Responsabilités

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Evaluates outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively, provides feedback, and delegates appropriately.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and delivers ethical patient care.
• Delegates to RNs, LPNs, and UAPs as appropriate.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units/departments as needed.
• Demonstrates age-specific knowledge for patient care.
