Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Park Ridge is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool at Advocate Children's Hospital Park Ridge. The role offers nights (1900-0730) with 0.9 FTE and self-scheduling; every third weekend and rotating holidays are included.

The RN will collaborate with multiple units to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Required are a Board-certified nursing education program graduate, active RN licensure, and BLS; typically 1 year of clinical nursing

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing education program.
• Active RN license in state where nursing services are provided (or multi-state license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance, quality initiatives and evidence-based practice.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans with the care team.
• Promote a culture of safety and timely documentation in the EHR.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
