Job summary

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma, part of MultiCare Health System, seeks a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for pediatric med-surg. This part-time role (0.7 FTE) focuses on coordinating communications, patient flow, and support for care teams in a busy pediatric setting.

The HUC will perform receptionist duties, assist in care delivery, and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Unit Secretary vocational training course or currently enrolled in clinical education program.
• Or one year of patient care experience or equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist and communications duties in a clinical setting.
• Support care delivery and patient services in a pediatric hospital environment.
• Demonstrate independent decision-making and strong interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Director and/or RN for optimal care delivery.
