Job summary

St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children seeks a Massage Therapist to deliver massage therapy to pediatric patients under the HCBS Waiver during home visits. The role aims to improve muscle tone, circulation, range of motion, and comfort while supporting the palliative care team and addressing pain and emotional needs.

The therapist will assess, plan, implement, and document treatment plans, collaborating with families and referring professionals to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Formal education credentials for massage therapy required; NY license preferred.
• Experience with medically fragile pediatric patients is desirable.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary palliative care team.

Responsibilities

• Uses evidence-based massage modalities to address patient needs.
• Maintains a caseload with accurate assessment and documentation.
• Develops and implements care plans with patients and families.
• Protects patient confidentiality and advocates for patients’ needs.
• Participates in team conferences and provides educational offerings.
