Job summary

Advanced Home Health Care Ltd in Burlington, IA is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Private Duty Nurse to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a child at home. You’ll join a caregiver team to improve quality of life for pediatric patients and their families through attentive, individualized care.

Schedule is 32-40 hours/week, Monday-Friday with flexible start times; shifts include 7:00am-3:00pm, 7:30am-3:30pm, or 8:00am-4:00pm.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Iowa nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN).
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Complete an Employee Health Questionnaire/Physical within 30 days of employment.
• Child abuse certification required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and participate in case management of the home care client.
• Implement nursing-care services under the RN Case Manager.
• Provide care within the Nurse Practice Act and home health guidelines.
• Maintain liaison with families and clients.
• Create a warm, personal, positive care atmosphere.
• Follow safety, infection control, and confidentiality requirements.
• Notify RN Case Manager of changes in client condition.
• Use the care plan to guide client care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
