Job summary

First Day Homecare® seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to provide pediatric private duty nursing under physician orders, performing nursing functions in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and applicable laws. You will follow client care plans and collaborate with the medical team.

Shifts include day and night across Ionia County for clients aged 0 and up, including trachs and ventilator support. We offer flexible scheduling, weekly pay, paid sick time, and comprehensive insurance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in Michigan.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insurance as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
