Advanced Home Health Care in Fort Madison, IA is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Private Duty Nurse to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a child at home. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-focused care within the family setting.

The nurse will collaborate with an RN Case Manager, administer medications per plan, and ensure safety and adherence to home health guidelines. PRN shifts span Fort Madison and Keokuk locations, offering flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Iowa license to practice nursing (RN or LPN).
• A minimum of one-year nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• A current CPR Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proof of auto insurance.
• Must complete an Employee Health Questionnaire/Physical within 30 days of employment.
• Child abuse certification requirement.

Responsibilities

• Understand and participate in case management of the home care client.
• Implement nursing-care services under the direction and supervision of the RN Case Manager.
• Provide care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act and home health policies.
• Maintain an adequate liaison with families and clients.
• Create and maintain a warm, personal, and positive care environment.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures at all times.
• Protect client care information confidentiality.
• Notify the RN Case Manager of changes in client condition.
• Use the plan of care to guide client care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and plan of care.
