Job summary

Children's Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Patient Services Clerk to provide essential clerical and front-desk support within our patient care units in Milwaukee. You will welcome patients, manage communications, maintain records, and help with admissions and discharges to support safe and efficient care.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and basic computer proficiency. Evening shifts and weekend rotation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare clerical training or experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills.
• Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with medical terminology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors; manage secure unit access and relay information with confidentiality.
• Maintain and manage patient records; coordinate admissions/discharges with clinical staff.
• Coordinate patient flow; manage bed availability and room readiness for smooth transitions.
• Handle data entry, filing, supply management and general clerical tasks.
