Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo is seeking a Regional Subspecialty RN for 4/10 hour shifts in Pediatric Gastroenterology. You will provide nursing care under a provider's direction, obtain vitals, take patient histories, educate patients and families, and support the care team in a busy pediatric setting.

Requires an Associate/Diploma/BSN from an accredited program, MI RN license, and 1–2 years’ healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and effective problem solving and prioritization skills and the ability to process information in a confidential manner.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, providers and other staff; maintain patient confidentiality; work well independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze data from various computer systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care under provider direction, including vital signs, history, education, and patient support.
• Executes charting and documentation; coordinates tests, procedures, and referrals.
• Triages calls and provides patient education and reinforcement of care.
• Assists with minor and emergency procedures and patient examinations as directed.
