Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role requires current RN licensure in Michigan, an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and BLS certification, with a BSN to be completed within 8 years of hire.

You will provide direct neonatal care, collaborate with the care team, and ensure documentation of patient responses and plan of care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; must obtain within 8 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for the state of Michigan.
• BSN within 8 years of hire.
• BLS certification required by completion of core orientation.
• Critical care or ALS certifications may be required for some RNs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process to patients across the unit.
• Coordinate care with other professionals and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Document patient responses, resource use and needs during each shift.
• Maintain and demonstrate competency specific to the neonatal population.
