Job summary

Children's of Alabama's Gastrointestinal Clinic at Main Campus Dearth Tower is seeking a Specialty Care Services Specialty Clinic Nurse. The role provides comprehensive nursing care to pediatric outpatients, with a focus on assessment, planning, and family education in a fast-paced outpatient GI setting.

The position is full-time on the day shift (8:00 am – 4:30 pm), with a 28-hour weekly schedule. Requires Alabama RN license (or multi-state), BSN, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active RN license for Alabama or recognized multi-state license.
• BSN required; or ASN with 1 year outpatient staff experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for outpatient clinic patients.
• Provide patient and family education within specialty GI outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
