Job summary

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care in Grand Prairie seeks a Front Office Specialist to warmly welcome families, verify insurance, check-in, and collect payments. You’ll manage phones, coordinate with clinicians, and keep accurate records in the EMR while protecting patient privacy.

Hours are seasonal full-time with clinic times Mon–Fri 8:00 am–8:00 pm and Sat–Sun 9:00 am–5:00 pm, with occasional travel between clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and busy clinics
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Be the calm, welcoming presence families meet first
• Manage check-in, insurance verification, and payments without losing accuracy
• Explain wait times and next steps clearly and respectfully
• Juggle phones, walk-ins, and systems during busy shifts
• Document thoroughly in the EMR and protect patient privacy
• Work closely with clinical teams to keep patient flow moving
