Job summary

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care in Grand Prairie seeks a Bilingual Medical Front Office Specialist to greet families, verify insurance, handle check-in and payments, and keep the EMR up to date.

This seasonal-full-time role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while explaining wait times and next steps to families.

Clinic hours Mon–Fri 8:00 am–8:00 pm, with opportunities to assist at other clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoys working with children and families.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check.
• Nice to have: pediatric or urgent care front desk experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the calm, welcoming presence families meet first.
• Manage check-in, insurance verification, and payments with accuracy.
• Explain wait times and next steps clearly and respectfully.
• Juggle phones, walk-ins and systems during busy shifts.
• Document thoroughly in the EMR and protect patient privacy.
• Work closely with clinical teams to keep patient flow moving.
